Feenity- Intelligent Fish Feeding Platform

for multi-tank fish farms & hatcheries

Feenity is a rail-based robotic feeding platform designed for ornamental fish farms, hatcheries and other multi-tank aquaculture facilities.

A single mobile robot moves between tanks and automatically executes an individual feeding program for each location.

The system combines precise dispensing, dry and live feed, tank identification, centralized control and remote access.

Automated Feeding Across the Facility Different tanks may contain different species, age groups and growth stages, each requiring different feed types, quantities and schedules.

Feenity automates this process through one mobile robot travelling on a dedicated overhead rail.

Each tank is identified using RFID and can have its own: Feed type Portion size Feeding frequency Feeding times The rail is designed according to the actual facility layout, allowing the system to be integrated into existing indoor farms where an overhead rail can be installed.

Precision Dry and Live Feeding

Feenity includes three independent feeding channels:

Two dry-feed channels One live-feed channel The dry-feed system has been tested with feed sizes from 0.2 mm to 3 mm, with a dispensing deviation of less than 0.5 g.

The live-feed channel supports feeds such as Artemia and rotifers, making the system suitable for hatcheries and early growth stages as well as ornamental fish production.

Each feed container has a volume of approximately 30 liters, with total onboard food capacity of up to approximately 30 kg, depending on the feed configuration.

Designed to Scale

The Feenity controller supports up to 200 tank or pond locations per robot.

Actual capacity depends on factors such as:

  • Rail length

  • Feeding frequency

  • Feed types

  • Portion sizes

  • Total daily feed requirements

 

Larger facilities can be designed with multiple robots operating as part of the same platform.

Centralized Control & Remote Access

Feenity is controlled through Crystal OPC, CrystalVision’s control and monitoring platform.

Operators can centrally manage feeding programs, monitor robot status and review feeding activity. Remote access is available through a cloud application hosted on Microsoft Azure, with individual users and access permissions.

The system also provides operational alarms for:

  • General robot faults

  • Communication loss

  • Low battery voltage

  • High motor current

 

Feeding commands and robot activity are automatically logged, providing a clear historical record of system operation.

Automatic Charging & Service Station

The robot operates on battery power and automatically returns to a dedicated charging station.

The station also serves as an accessible location for:

Built on Real Fish-Farm Experience

Feenity is the latest generation of robotic feeding systems developed by CrystalVision. Earlier generations have operated in commercial ornamental fish farms for approximately a decade, providing long-term experience with automated feeding under demanding conditions, including high temperatures and very high humidity.
